The Madison area is home to a variety of tasting rooms and vineyards, each with its own atmosphere, activities, and wines to try. Here are a few of our favorites.

• Square Wine Co. – 1 E. Main St., Madison, WI 53703
  At Square Wine Co., you never have to wait long for their next wine event. They offer tastings every Friday night, from 5:00-7:00pm, at their Capitol square tasting room. Each tasting is limited to 25 people, so you get a small-group atmosphere and personal service with which to find your new favorite, small family grower produced wine. RSVP in advance is required, so be sure and reserve your spot ahead of time. 
   
• Table Wine – 2301 Atwood Ave., Madison, WI 53704
  The team at Table Wine aims to make learning about and enjoying wine as easy as possible, with an approachable and knowledgeable style of service. Events offered here include regular wine classes, ranging from broad overviews to very specific topics. You can sample a great selection of wine at their wine bar anytime. They also offer private tastings, which you can book for your own group of vinophiles.
  
  
• Cambridge Winery – 600 Kenseth Way, Cambridge, WI 53523 and 1001 S. Whitney Way, Madison, WI 53711
  Cambridge Winery features award-winning, premium wines from Wisconsin, California and Washington. The Cambridge location is on the site of their Wisconsin vineyard, providing a lovely setting in which to enjoy their varietals. Both locations regularly host wine tastings and classes, as well as live music. Check their website for the full schedule of upcoming events. 
  
  
• Wollersheim Winery – 7876 State Rd. 188, Prairie du Sac, WI 53578
  With a beautiful hillside location, elegant atmosphere, and reputation for producing award-winning wine and spirits, Wollersheim Winery is a great place for a vineyard visit. They offer flight tastings every day, a selection of guided tours of the winery, and seated tastings on select days. They also host special events, including Summer Serenades, where you can enjoy live music in the wine garden. Summer Serenades at Wollersheim will take place on May 23, June 27 and July 25, 2025.
  
  
• Balanced Rock Winery – 1065 Walnut St., Baraboo, WI 53913
  Located near Devils Lake State Park, Balanced Rock Winery's name was inspired by one of the park's famous rock features. The focus here is on cold-hardy grape varietals that grow right here in Wisconsin. The events schedule is packed with live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome here. So your pup can join the fun as long as they stay outside and are kept on a leash.
